I think this is a very good idea, for that reason; like in Britain, where
things that HAD been used in a public domain manner during such a window of
opportunity, did not get "pulled back in" when they extended to life+70.

But this could backfire. The people in the USA could point to the GWTW in
Canada and say "See what horrible things can happen when copyright expires!
We don't get a penny! I'm a poor man, Master David, a poor, poor man!"
