Celebration of Women Writers milestones

I'm happy to report that the Celebration of Women Writers last week
released its 300th online edition. It's a book of poems by Anne Bradstreet
(1612-1672), the first published woman writer in the American colonies,
and the first published American poet, male or female.

You can find out more about the book, and read the poems, from the
Celebration blog at

    http://merrigold.livejournal.com/

where new Celebration titles are announced.

Since I just mentioned OAI in a previous post, I should also
mention that the Celebration has an OAI feed, using both the basic
Dublin Core metadata format, and the richer MODS metadata format.
It was recently included in the Digital Library Federation's MODS
portal (one of the first 7 collections to be included there), and
we're working on designating subsets of the collection for inclusion
in other, more specialized aggregation projects.

(A Celebration of Women Writers is edited by my wife, Mary Mark Ockerbloom.
I provide some of the technical and database support for the collection.)
