Re: Book People mailing list to end at the end of the month

Dear John
Thank you very much for all the work you have done for us over those
years. I personally have benefited greatly from your work, and from
friendship with quite a few people whom I would not have met except
through your work.

In 1997 I had suddenly to move in with my parents to look after them,
and that was when I started reading Book People emails. That was also
when I started seriously scanning books and writing software for that
work, as that was the best way I could pass the time.

The nearly 450 books I have on my website are being moved to Gutenberg,
also to the Internet Archive, and to the Mobipocket bookshelf. I hope
that by the end of today there will be over 400 of my books on PG.
Mobipocket is near that number and IA, for which I have been re-scanning
many of my books, is at about 250.

So our decades have just about coincided. Time rolls on,

  Kind regards, Nick Hodson (Athelstane)
