The first 8 issues were published under the title 'Real Life Story'. The first issue published as 'Life Story' was the June 1940 issue.

The October 1945 issue is the last issue of this publication registered with the Copyright Office. The title was also used by later periodicals, such as one begun by Fawcett in 1949. Renewals for those other publications are not covered here. Fawcett (which owned Country Press) was also the publisher of this magazine's immediate successor, Today's Woman.
