Abstract:
[Big city] To avoid a taxi war, city officials blame a gang bombing on driver Joe Benton's wife, Anna, which leads to her being deported. The mayor is speaker at a boxers' banquet where Joe pleads for them to go with him to the wharf and rescue Anna from the ship.

[The emperor's candlesticks] Male Polish secret agent and female Russian secret police spy smuggle messages to Petersburg in candlesticks and while chasing after stolen candlesticks discover each other's identity and fall in love.

[The toy wife] A beautiful sixteen-year-old girl who charms, attracts and seduces all the men she meets is sure to ruin her life and lots of others by stealing an engaged man from his future wife and then cheating on him with the man she really loves.
