American Rifleman is the official journal of the National Rifle Association of America (NRA).
American Rifleman was previously published as "Arms and the Man" (whose issues are listed separately). It adopted its current name in 1923 (and continuing its volume and issue numbering). "Arms and the Man", acquired by the NRA in the early 20th century, in turn had predecessors going back to 1885. Issue copyright renewals began in 1943. American Rifleman is still published today.
