The American Naturalist is a scholarly journal of biology and natural history, now published by the University of Chicago Press.
The American Naturalist began in 1867. No issue copyright renewals were filed for issues before 1968, though issues from 1964 onward would have automatic renewals. The oldest renewed contribution with a copyright still in effect is in the April-June 1933 issue. It is still published today.
