The Christian Cynosure

The Christian Cynosure was a publication of the National Christian Association, an American Protestant organization opposing and exposing secret societies in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Publication History

The Christian Cynosure began publication in 1868 as a fortnightly newspaper. Its first issue was titled "The Christian Banner", but it changed to "The Christian Cynosure" from its second issue onward. A weekly edition began in 1871, and the fortnightly was absorbed into it in 1874. It shifted to a monthly magazine format in 1897. No active issue copyright renewals exist for this periodical. The Christian Cynosure ceased publication in 1983.
