The Colophon was a quarterly publication for book collectors and book lovers, published in New York in the 1930s.

Publication History

The Colophon began publication in 1930. It started a "new series" in 1935 (with less elaborate graphics), and a "new graphic series" in 1939. It ceased publication in 1940.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1930-1940: An archive at Carnegie Mellon has page images of most of the volumes from the three series, plus the index volume for the first series. The "graphic" call numbers are from the third series; the "N.S." call numbers are from the second. A few articles may be omitted for copyright reasons.
