The Equinox

The Equinox was originally an irregular periodical issued by Aleister Crowley's Ordo Templi Orientis, and was subtitled "The Review of Scientific Illuminism". (There is a Wikipedia article about this serial.)

Publication History

The Equinox began in 1909 in London. It published 10 issues in Volume I, never published a Volume II, and then published Volume III number I in 1919. After that, there appears to be a hiatus. Followers of Crowley have more recently published additional issues, some with longer writings of Crowley, others with new material. It appears that more than one "successor journal" to Crowley's original run has been claimed. This record tracks the original serial, and the only claimed successor I have found online.
