The Excavating Engineer

The Excavating Engineer was the name of an American excavation engineering and trade journal.

Publication History

The Excavating Engineer began as Steam Shovel News in 1905, but adopted the Excavating Engineer title in 1912, continuing the volume numbering of the previous title. Publication was suspended between 1917 and 1920. In 1966 the journal became Excavating Contractor, and appears to have continued under that name until at least the 1980s. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial.
