Publication History

The London Magazine was originally founded in 1732 as the "London Magazine, or Gentleman's Monthly Intelligencer". The original incarnation ran until 1785. The magazine was revived in 1820, running till 1829. In the early 20th century, the Harmsworth magazine, launched in 1898, was renamed the London Magazine, and ran until 1933. No issue copyright renewals were found for this serial. The first copyright-renewed contribution is from January 1929. (More details) The London Magazine was relaunched in 1954, and again in 2002 after a brief closure. The magazine still is published today.
