Nature is a major UK-based scientific journal published weekly by the Nature Publishing Group.

Publication History

Nature began publication in 1869. Copyright renewals have not been found prior to 1964 (after which point they would have become automatic). It is still published today.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1869-1875: Wisconsin has volumes 1-12 online in page image form.
• 1869-1878, 1880-1921: HathiTrust has volumes 1-17, 21-41, 43-61, 63, and 65-108 online. Some later volumes are available for search but not for viewing.

Official Site / Current Material

• Nature.com has online articles from recent issues of Nature, an archive of back issues and related journals by the same publishing group. Access to most journal content requires a paid subscription or an article purchase. The site also has information about the magazine, and daily science-related news stories.
