Journal of the Proceedings of the Legislative-Council of the State of New-Jersey

Journal of the Proceedings of the Legislative-Council of the State of New-Jersey is an official record of the activities of the original New Jersey state Legislative Council, the upper house of the New Jersey Legislature until 1844.

Publication History

The Legislative Council met from 1776 to 1844. The Constitution of 1844 renamed this body the Senate, and reconfigured it somewhat. There was a post-1844 "Legislative Council", but it apparently had rather different roles.
