Proceedings of the New York State Historical Association was a publication describing the activities of the New York State Historical Association.
Proceedings of the New York State Historical Association began as an account of the Association's annual meetings, constitutions, by-laws, and membership. The first of these appears to have been published in 1901, and covered the second annual meeting. The Proceedings title appeared in the 1902 annual volume, and volume numbers started to appear in the 1907 volume (volume 7). Beginning in 1919, the Proceedings were published as annual compilations of the Association's Quarterly Journal, often with added introductory material on members or officials of the Association. The Proceeedings compilation continued when the Quarterly Journal became New York History in 1932. We are not sure when the Proceedings compilation editions ended. New York History continues to be published today by Cornell University Press.
