Philologische Wochenschrift

Philologische Wochenschrift was the original and final name of a classical philology journal published weekly in Germany in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Publication History

Philologische Wochenschrift began in 1881. In 1884, it was renamed the Berliner Philologische Wochenschrift. (Issues under that name are listed here as well.) In 1921, the Berliner Philologische Wochenschrift combined with the Wochenschrift für Klassische Philologie and resumed the Philologische Wochenschrift name, under which it published until 1944.
