Publishers Weekly is a magazine and online publication on the book publishing business.
Publishers Weekly traces its history back to 1872, when it was published as "The Publishers' and Stationers' Weekly Trade Circular", though predecessor publications go back to the 1850s. The shorter "Publishers Weekly" name first appeared in 1873, and has sometimes included an apostrophe. The first issue to have its copyright renewed was published in 1936. It is still published today.
