Transactions and Proceedings of the Royal Society of New Zealand was a journal of the papers and proceedings of what is now the Royal Society of New Zealand (originally the New Zealand Institute).

Publication History

Transactions and Proceedings of the Royal Society of New Zealand began in 1868 as the Transactions and Proceedings of the New Zealand Institute. The society was renamed the Royal Society of New Zealand in in 1933, and the journal was renamed accordingly. The Proceedings (the records of society business) spun off into their own publication in the late 1950s, and the Transactions part then split off into four series (Botany, Zoology, Geology and General).
