Publication History

Southwestern Historical Quarterly began publication in 1897. It is still published today, and is the oldest scholarly journal in Texas.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1897-1997: An archive at the Texas State Historical Association has page imaegs of the first 100 volumes of the journal. This version is free to access as of July 2009, but might go behind a pay-wall at some point in the future.
• 1897-1947: An archive at the Texas State Historical Association has transcriptions of the first 50 volumes of the journal. This version is "no longer supported", but might continue to be free after the resource above goes behind a pay-wall.
