The Theosophist is a monthly journal "devoted to Oriental philosophy, art, literature and occultism, embracing Mesmerism, spiritualism, and other secret sciences", published beginning in the 19th century.
The Theosophist was inaugurated in India in 1879 by H. P. Blavatsky, who was the journal's first editor. Publication moved at one point to the US, but later moved back to India. No issue copyright renewals have been found for this journal. It is apparently still published today.
