Publication History

The Yale Law Journal began in 1887. The first actively copyright-renewed issue is January 1929 (v. 38 no. 3). We know of no actively copyright-renewed contributions. (More details) It is still published today.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1891-1928: JSTOR has volumes 1-37, and the first 2 issues of volume 38 freely readable online. Later issues are restricted or paid access.
• 1891-1907, 1912-1913, 1916-1919: HathiTrust has volumes 1-16, 22, and 26-28 freely readable online. Some later volumes may be searchable but not readable online here.
• 1907-1909, 1911-1916, 1918-1923: HathiTrust has volumes 17-18, 21-25, and 28-32 freely readable online.
