NFPA Journal; Nov/Dec2010, Vol. 104 Issue 6, p34-34, 1p
The article focuses on the Subpart E of the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, which corresponds to the requirements of Part 1910 of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. It states that the Subpart E, which covers fire exit routes, was derived from the 1970 edition of Life Safety Code and republished by OSHA in 1980. However, the requirements for adequate egress system, travel distance or common path of travel, were not covered in Subpart E.
