As avid users of technology, adolescents are a key demographic to engage when designing and developing technology applications for health. There are multiple opportunities for improving adolescent health, from promoting preventive behaviors to providing guidance for adolescents with chronic illness in supporting treatment adherence and transition to adult health care systems. This article will provide a brief overview of current technologies and then highlight new technologies being used specifically for adolescent health, such as artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, and machine learning. Because there is paucity of evidence in this field, we will make recommendations for future research.
Competing Interests: POTENTIAL CONFLICT OF INTEREST: The authors have indicated they have no potential conflicts of interest to disclose.

Conclusion: Deliberate misrepresentation continues. Needleman attacks the whistleblowers, the NIH, and his own University to deflect attention from the indications of misconduct in his research. Federal agencies base policies on his research and on his assertions regarding the purported effects of low-level lead exposure on children. The policies divert resources and attention from the real needs of children. Misconduct issues will ultimately be resolved by the ORI and the courts. Public policy issues may require reconsideration in light of further evidence.

This study shows qualitative and quantitative estimates of the national and the clinic level impact of utilizing voice and knowledge enabled clinical reporting systems. Using common sense estimation methodology, we show that the delivery of health care can experience a dramatic improvement in four areas as a result of the broad use of voice and knowledge enabled clinical reporting: (1) Process Quality as measured by cost savings, (2) Organizational Quality as measured by compliance, (3) Clinical Quality as measured by clinical outcomes and (4) Service Quality as measured by patient satisfaction. If only 15 percent of US physicians replaced transcription with modem clinical reporting voice-based methodology, about one half billion dollars could be saved. $6.7 Billion could be saved annually if all medical reporting currently transcribed was handled with voice-and knowledge-enabled dictation and reporting systems.

Reflects on the intellectual nature of pastoral counseling, compares it with certain aspects of contemporary research in psychiatry and clinical psychology, and offers some observations regarding the uniqueness of pastoral counseling as a profession. Argues that pastoral counseling can offer a truly wholistic view of mental health if (1) its intellectual foundation is developed in theological perspective, (2) continues to integrate its theological dimension with clinical psychology and psychiatry, and (3) evaluates its applied research within the framework of the normative standards of mental health.
