Proceedings of the American Federation of Labor
Proceedings of the American Federation of Labor was a record of the annual conventions of the American Federation of Labor (or AFL), a federation of labor unions in the United States.
Publication History
The AFL began in 1886, as a reorganization of the Federation of Organized Trades and Labor Unions. Its annual conventions appear to have preserved numbering from the earlier organization. The annual proceedings have been issued under slightly varying titles over the years. In 1955, the AFL merged with the Congress of Industrial Organizations to form the AFL-CIO.
