The American Printer

The American Printer is an American trade journal for the printing industry.

Publication History

The American Printer began in 1885 as The American Bookmaker. It was renamed The Printer and Bookmaker in 1897, and The American Printer in 1900. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. In 1955 it was renamed the American Printer and Lithographer, and in 1958 it merged with The Inland Printer. The combined publication went through a series of name changes that ended up back at "The American Printer" by 1982. The print publication ceased in the 2010s. There is now an American Printer website that carries on the name.
