The American Rifleman was previously published as Arms and the Man. It adopted its current name in 1923 (and continuing its volume and issue numbering). The first copyright-renewed issue is January 1943 (v. 91 no. 1). The first copyright-renewed contribution is from April 1949 (v. 97 no. 4).
