The American Journal of Pharmacy

The American Journal of Pharmacy was a pharmacy journal published by the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science.

Publication History

The American Journal of Pharmacy traces its roots back to 1829 with the founding of the Journal of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. It was renamed The American Journal of Pharmacy in 1835, and started a new volume series. A third series began in 1853, and started noting overall volume numbers for the entire series. A fourth series ran from 1871 to 1895; for later volumes, only the overall volume number was used. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) The American Journal of Pharmacy published under that title until 1936, and was then retitled American Journal of Pharmacy and the Sciences Supporting Public Health, which published for much of the rest of the 20th century.
