Les Annales Archéologiques Arabes Syriennes began publishing under that title in 1966, succeeding Les Annales Archéologiques de Syrie (which had begun in 1951) and continuing its volume numbering. It has continued to publish into the 21st century, but the war in Syria has disrupted publication.
