Annual Report

The western Christian missionary organization initially known as the Society for the Diffusion of Christian and General Knowledge among the Chinese, and later as the Christian Literature Society of China, published an Annual Report in the late 19th and early 20th century. The title varied somewhat over time.

Publication History

The first Annual Report was published in 1888. The 18th report and later reflect the organization's new name, the Christian Literature Society of China. The last issue we know of was published in 1947.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1888-1904: HathiTrust has the 1st-17th annual reports of the Society for the Diffusion of Christian and General Knowledge among the Chinese. Access to volumes after 1898 may be restricted outside the United States.
• 1905-1912: HathiTrust has the 18th-25th annual reports of the Christian Literature Society for China. Access may be restricted outside the United States.
• 1915: HathiTrust has the 28th annual report. Access may be restricted outside the United States.
• 1918, 1921-1924, 1926-1927, 1934: The Internet Archive has the 31st, 34th-37th, 39th-40th, and 47th annual reports, bound together.
