The Athenaeum

The Athenaeum was a London-based journal of literature, science, and the arts published in the 19th and early 20th century.

Publication History

The Athenaeum began in 1828. Some early issues are titled Athenaeum and London Literary Chronicle. It ran until 1921, when it merged with The Nation to form The Nation and the Athenaeum. (Issues of that magazine are listed separately.)
