Publication History

Blue Book Magazine began in 1905 as the Monthly Story Magazine, changing its name to the Monthly Story Blue Book in 1906, and to Blue Book in 1907. The first actively copyright-renewed issue is March 1929 (v. 48 no. 5), © February 1, 1929. The first actively copyright-renewed contribution is from April 1929 (v. 48 no. 6). (More details) It ran until 1956, and was then revived (initially as Bluebook for Men) from 1960 to 1975.
