The Brand Book

The Brand Book is a serial published by the Denver Posse of Westerners, a group interested in the history of the American West. The title and the frequency of this publication has varied over time.

Publication History

The Brand Book began in 1945. A related volume titled The Westerners Brand Book was published in 1946. (It may be a an annual compilation of material in the original monthly issues.) The monthly magazine appears to have been renamed the Roundup in the 1950s, but Brand Book annuals may have continued after that time.

• 1947: The Denver Posse has the 1947 monthly issues of the Brand Book in a 110 MB PDF file.
• 1948: The Denver Posse has the 1948 monthly issues of the Brand Book in a 192 MB PDF file.
• 1949: The Denver Posse has the 1949 monthly issues of the Brand Book in a 199 MB PDF file.
• 1950: The Denver Posse has the 1950 monthly issues of the Brand Book in a 12 MB PDF file.
• 1951: The Denver Posse has the 1951 monthly issues of the Brand Book in a 5 MB PDF file.
• 1952: The Denver Posse has the 1952 monthly issues of the Brand Book in a 5 MB PDF file.
• 1953: The Denver Posse has the 1953 monthly issues of the Brand Book in a 7 MB PDF file. Later issues of the monthly magazine had 'Roundup' rather than 'Brand Book' in the title. We know of later Brand Book annual volumes, but have not found them on the Denver Posse website.
