Bulletin des Arrêts de la Cour de Cassation Rendus en Matière Civile was a record of civil appeals rulings by France's Cour de Cassation. The title varied somewhat over time.

Publication History

The Cour de Cassation was established in 1790 as the Tribunal de Cassation. It was renamed the Cour de Cassation somewhere around 1800. The first numbered volume of the Bulletin des Arrêts de la Cour de Cassation Rendus en Matière Civile series was for 1798 (though the volume number may have been assigned in an 1825 reprint.) The series appears to have run until 1942. Cour de Cassation rulings continue to be published in other forms.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1793-1798, 1804-1913: Gallica has many of the early Bulletins. Bulletins from the early 19th century may have somewhat different titles, and may include more than just civil cases.
• 1798-1883, 1885-1910, 1912-1921, 1923: HathiTrust has volumes 1-85, 87-112, 114-123, and 125, scanned from the University of Michigan. Access to volumes after 1899 may be restricted outside the United States.
• 1884: HathiTrust has volumes 85 and 86.
• 1911: HathiTrust has volume 113. Access may be restricted outside the United States.
