Bulletin of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists was the name of the official publication of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists for much of the twentieth century.
Bulletin of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists began in 1917 as the Bulletin of the Southwestern Association of Petroleum Geologists, changing its name the following year as the organization became the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. The first actively copyright-renewed issue is January 1929 (v. 13 no. 1). We know of no actively copyright-renewed contributions. (More details) It was officially renamed American Association of Petroleum Geologists Bulletin in 1967 (though both names were used in practice before and afterwards). The title shortened to AAPG Bulletin in 1974. The Bulletin continues to publish under that name today.
