The Carlsbad Current was a weekly newspaper published in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Publication History

The Carlsbad Current began in 1899 as Carlsbad Current (adding "The" to its name in the early 20th century). It merged with the New Mexico Sun in 1907, and published for a a time afterwards as The Carlsbad Current and New Mexico Sun before reverting to The Carlsbad Current in 1908. In 1926, The Carlsbad Current merged with the Carlsbad Argus to form the Carlsbad Current-Argus, which still publishes today.
