Ceramic Abstracts

Ceramic Abstracts is a compilation published by the American Ceramic Society of abstracts of ceramics research papers from various venues.

Publication History

Ceramic abstracts were published as a section of the Journal of the American Ceramic Society as far back as 1919. A separate Ceramic Abstracts publication with its own volume numbering began in 1922. In the 1940s it became a section of the Journal of the American Ceramic Society. The first copyright-renewed issue is November 1, 1946 (v. 29 no. 11). We know of no actively copyright-renewed contributions. (More details) (Copyright renewals for Ceramic Abstracts and the Journal are somewhat intertwined.) Ceramic Abstracts resumed as a separate publication in 1975, though we have not found such a publication continuing today. Listings here are for the separate publication.
