The Christian Century is a long-running American mainline Protestant magazine. (There is a Wikipedia article about this serial.)
Publication History
The Christian Century began in 1884 as a Disciples of Christ publication called the Christian Oracle. It took on its current name in first issue of 1900, and widened its denominational scope over time. The first actively copyright-renewed issue is January 9, 1957 (v. 74 no. 2). The first actively copyright-renewed contribution is from October 2, 1940. (More details) It is still published today.

- 1900: The Internet Archive has volume 17, scanned from microfilm.
- 1901: The Internet Archive has volume 18, scanned from microfilm. Issues from May 30 onward are titled "Christian Century of the Disciples of Christ".
- 1901: The Internet Archive has issues from May 23-December 1901. The first issue is identified as part of volume 18, but then the volume number resets to 1 for the remainder of the year in this volume. (It would later revert to the original volume numbering scheme.) Issues from May 30 onward are titled simply "The Christian Century" (unlike the issues in the 1901 microfilm scan, but on a quick glance appear to include the same or similar content to the issues with the same dates titled "Christian Century of the Disciples of Christ".
