The Congregationalist

The Congregationalist was a periodical for Congregational churches and their members published in Boston in the 19th and early 20th century.

Publication History

The Congregationalist began in 1849. Over time it absorbed similar publications, in some cases adding their names to the title for some time afterward before reverting back to The Congregationalist. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) In 1930, The Congregationalist merged with the Herald of Gospel Liberty to become The Congregationalist and Herald of Gospel Liberty, which later became Advance. The title The Congregationalist was revived in 1958 for a new series published by the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches.
