Publication History

In 1868, the Atlanta Daily Opinion was renamed The Constitution, and The Atlanta Constitution the following year. Other titles the newspaper held briefly include The Atlanta Daily Constitution (1875), and The Daily Constitution (1876-1881). No issue copyright renewals were found for this serial. The first copyright-renewed contribution is from February 9, 1940. (More details) The paper was bought by the owners of the Atlanta Journal in 1950, and the papers were merged outside into The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in 2001.
