Cost of Government in the United States was a periodic report of American government spending at all levels of government, compiled and published by the National Industrial Conference Board (now known simply as The Conference Board).

Publication History

The first Cost of Government in the United States report covered 1924-1925, and was published in 1926. After the first report, later reports included the years of coverage in the title. The last report we are aware of covered 1935-1937, and was published in 1939. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1924-1929: HathiTrust has reports covering up to 1928-1929, published from 1926 through 1931. Some later volumes may be searchable but not readable online here.
• 1934-1936: HathiTrust also has the report covering 1934-1936, published in 1937.
