The Daily Worker
The Daily Worker was a Communist daily newspaper published in the US in the 20th century. (There is a Wikipedia article about this serial.)
Publication History
The Daily Worker began in 1922 as The Worker, a successor to The Toiler. It was renamed the Daily Worker in 1924 after adopting a daily publication schedule. Both a New York edition and a national edition (which had somewhat different content) were published in much of the 1920s and in the early 1930s. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. The daily paper ceased publication in January 1958, though editions of the affiliated weekly paper called The Worker continued for at least a short time after. The current successor of the paper is People's World, an online-only publication.
