Publication History
The Elementary School Journal began in 1900 as The Course of Study. It was renamed The Elementary School Teacher and Course of Study in 1901, and The Elementary School Teacher in 1902. It adopted its present title in 1914. It followed a consistent volume and issue numbering throughout. The first copyright-renewed issue is December 1941 (v. 42 no. 4). We know of no actively copyright-renewed contributions. (More details) It is still published today.

- 1900-1901: JSTOR has volume 1, published as The Course of Study.
