Fiction Catalog

Fiction Catalog was the title of a catalog of English language fiction titles recommended for libraries, published in various editions by H. W. Wilson Co. in the 20th and early 21st centuries.

Publication History

Wilson's first Fiction Catalog was published in 1908. After the 1911 edition, fiction catalogs were published as sections of Wilson's Standard Catalog, but then were published separately as Fiction Catalog beginning in 1941. The last catalog titled Fiction Catalog, labeled the 15th edition, was published in 2006. The series was succeeded by Wilson's Fiction Core Collection, which appears to continue the edition numbering of this series.

• 1923: HathiTrust has the fiction section of Wilson's Standard Catalog, listing 2350 books.
• 1928: HathiTrust has a supplement to the fiction section of Wilson's Standard Catalog, listing an additional 550 books.
• 1931: We list the second edition revised of the fiction section of Wilson's Standard Catalog, listing about 2100 books.
• 1941: The Internet Archive has the 1941 edition, listing over 5000 books.
