Foreign Affairs began in 1922. It succeeded the Journal of International Relations, but began with its own volume numbering. The first actively copyright-renewed issue is April 1928 (v. 6 no. 3), © March 13, 1928. The first actively copyright-renewed contribution is from January 1939 (v. 17 no. 2).
