Publication History

The first edition of General Information Concerning Patents was published in 1922 by the United States Patent Office. Updated editions were published frequently (in some cases, annually) until the 2010s. The United States Patent Office was renamed the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in 1975. The last General Information Concerning Patents guide we know to be published is dated 2014. Its function has been replaced online by the USPTO's Patent Basics web pages.
