Jamestown Alert was a newspaper published in Jamestown, North Dakota, in the 19th and early 20th century. The title varied somewhat over time by edition.
The Jamestown Alert began in 1878 as a weekly newspaper. A daily edition began in 1881, first called The Daily Alert, and then the Jamestown Daily Alert. (It was also called the Jamestown Morning Alert from 1882 to 1885.) The weekly edition was renamed the Jamestown Weekly Alert in 1882. The Alert ran until the mid-1920s, when it was bought by new owners who renamed it the Jamestown Sun. The Jamestown Sun continues to be published today.
