Publication History

Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery began publishing under that name in 1921, succeeding the Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and continuing its volume numbering. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) A British edition spun off in 1948 (with the original journal then sometimes referred to as the American volume). It is still published today.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1921: HathiTrust has volume 19 (new series volume 3). The old Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery title is used in some of the early issues.
• 1922: The Internet Archive has volume 20 (new series volume 4).
• 1923: The Internet Archive has volume 21 (new series volume 5).
• 1924: HathiTrust has volume 22, numbers 2 and 3 (new series volume 6, numbers 2 and 3). Access may be restricted outside the United States.
