Journal of Near Eastern Studies began in 1942, as a successor to The American Journal of Semitic Languages and Literatures. The first actively copyright-renewed issue is July 1953 (v. 12 no. 3). We know of no actively copyright-renewed contributions. (More details) It is still published today.
