Journal of the Royal Horticultural Society was a long-running title of a journal published by the Royal Horticulural Society in London.
Journal of the Royal Horticultural Society began publishing under that title in 1866. (Early on, volume title pages read The Journal of the Royal Horticultural Society of London, but the shorter title was used elsewhere.) The 1866 run was labeled a "new series", succeeding a predecessor Journal of the Horticultural Society of London that had been published in the 1840s and 1850s. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) Journal of the Royal Horticultural Society ran until 1975, and was then replaced by The Garden (which used Journal of the Royal Horticultural Society as a subtitle until early in the 21st century). The Garden continues to be published today.
