The Los Angeles Herald began in 1873 as Los Angeles Daily Herald. The front page title became Daily Los Angeles Herald in 1876, Los Angeles Daily Herald again in 1884, Los Angeles Herald in 1890, The Herald in 1893, Los Angeles Herald again in 1900, and Los Angeles Evening Herald in 1911. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) In 1931 it merged with the Los Angeles Evening Express to form the Los Angeles Herald-Express.
